My top 5 cafes in Aberdeen

Aberdeen offers a wide variety of places to eat and drink. There are plenty cafes to drop by for coffee, brunch or lunch. Here are some of my favourite cafes in Aberdeen!

Books and Beans

Located right in the heart of the city centre, Books and Beans is a small café with a great selection of second-hand books, nice food and friendly staff. Roasted peppers, olives and houmous sandwich that is served here is my absolute favourite! It’s a great place to catch up or have a brunch with your friends.

The Long Dog Café

This is a lovely little place located in the West End of Aberdeen. Members of staff at the Long Dog Café are always paying attention to the smallest details there. This is why the place is so warm and welcoming! And of course the little doggies running around make it even cosier.

Foodstory

Foodstory on Thistle Street is probably the best place for vegan and vegetarian food. The cafe is very eco-friendly and is best known for their organic food. If you love pancakes, then you have to go along for brunch on Sunday. It is a very creative and independent space that was built out of recycled materials. There is also a shop upstairs which sells organic vegetables, soaps, and much more!

The Coffee House

This is an independent café on Gaelic Lane in the city centre and a great place to have coffee or lunch with your friends. The Coffee House has local artists playing throughout the week and is a great opportunity to meet new people and have fun with your friends!

Almondine

Almondine on Thistle Street was the first patisserie in Aberdeen to make proper macarons. It’s like having a little bit of Paris right in Aberdeen’s city centre. Their friendly and helpful staff make the experience even better. They also offer macarons boxes, which can be a great addition to a present or a can be a present itself.
