Hi there, I am Harry, a third-year Law student at RGU. During this winter holiday, I was offered the opportunity to support the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust and travel to Antarctica.  After 16 hours of flying and seven days of sailing, I finally reached the Antarctic Peninsula. (more…)

Best Winter walks in Aberdeenshire

So it’s officially winter and we have now entered the festive season, I’m sure most of you will be eagerly awaiting the holidays as I did when I was studying. When I was a student I would take time for myself between studying so that I had time to relax and unwind from the stress of it all. My favourite thing to do was go for a long walk, with friends or family members and of course my little dog Lucy. (more…)

Gap year or gap fear?

For most students, 4th-year university is stressful enough – let alone the additional pressure of securing that all-important dream graduate job. However, in reality, there’s no real rush. Graduate schemes can be applied for up to 3 years after graduating, and graduate jobs/roles will still exist after you’ve taken that spontaneous gap year. (more…)
