The opportunity to pursue a placement year was something that attracted me to RGU right from the start, when applying to university. The thought of gaining industry experience in place of 3rd year study was something I knew would stand out on my CV and hoped it would give me a better understanding of the types of career options that are available after university. One of the key things that sets RGU apart from other universities is its employability figures. I am currently following the Connect to Business (C2B) route which gives students the opportunity to undertake a short-term placement while still studying at university; which for me is a perfect balance and the main reason I chose to follow this route. One of the things that attracted me most to come to RGU and study at Aberdeen Business School was the prospect of studying abroad. As I study International Business Management it is compulsory to include an international aspect in our course, whether that be on placement or as an exchange student. RGU enables students from a wide range of courses to go and study in Europe or further afield. (more…)
