My time in Antarctica

Hi there, I am Harry, a third-year Law student at RGU. During this winter holiday, I was offered the opportunity to support the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust and travel to Antarctica.  After 16 hours of flying and seven days of sailing, I finally reached the Antarctic Peninsula. (more…)

Making room for downtime

As midwives our job can be incredibly stressful at times, even after the best shifts we can come away feeling drained or exhausted. In fact, in just about every job there are elements that are stressful and require individuals to take a step back and try to relax. It’s so important to look after ourselves and have that down-time which allows us to chill out and refuel, which is encouraged by our lecturers, mentors, friends and families. (more…)

Best Winter walks in Aberdeenshire

So it’s officially winter and we have now entered the festive season, I’m sure most of you will be eagerly awaiting the holidays as I did when I was studying. When I was a student I would take time for myself between studying so that I had time to relax and unwind from the stress of it all.
