Open Days are back! RGU is very excited to welcome prospective students back to campus to enjoy the full RGU open day experience. Here’s what to expect from our on-campus open days…
When are our Open Days?
This autumn we are running two On-Campus Undergraduate Open Days for anyone who wants to get a first hand look at studying at RGU. Below are the dates and times of our Open Days. To register, click whichever day you plan on attending and fill in the registration form:
We can’t wait to welcome you to our beautiful riverside campus during one of our On Campus Open Days. Being on campus is the best way for you to explore your potential study environment, get a feel for the university and speak to course leaders, student support services and current students face to face!
Getting to Campus
There are ample car parking spaces available on campus and except for spaces outside of RGU SPORT, parking restrictions will not be enforced on Open Day.
Alternatively if you’re not going to be driving, First Bus Aberdeen services 1 & 2 operate between the City Centre and the Garthdee Campus on a regular basis and take you right into the heart of campus.
Find out more information on how to get to the RGU Campus on the RGU website.
If you meet our ‘wider access’ criteria and are travelling to one of our open days from out with Aberdeen City, you can claim up to 75% of your travel costs back from us. Check if you meet our criteria or contact access@rgu.ac.uk

Remember to Check-In
When you arrive on campus, please make your way to the Sir Ian Wood Building to pick up your RGU Open Day Goody Bag outside on the plaza. Make sure to click the “I’m Here” button from our e-mail to self check-in, which will let us know you’re here.
What’s on at Campus
Our On-Campus Open Days will provide prospective students with a wide variety of events to show the diversity of learning opportunities available at RGU. The events will be running across four different buildings on-campus covering all the different schools and subjects at the university.

The Sir Ian Wood building will be hosting events from The School of Engineering, The Scott Sutherland School of Architecture and Built Environment, The School of Computing and The School of Pharmacy and Life Sciences. This is also where you will be able to find our Info Hub where you can find out all you need about starting at RGU.
The Ishbel Gordon Building will host interactive sessions and course introductions from the School of Applied Social Studies, The School of Health Sciences as well as the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedic Practice. Keep your eyes peeled for a showcase of our Clinal Skills Centre, with a number of different rooms and laboratories to learn in a realistic environment.
The Riverside Building will have information from current students and building tours. You will find Aberdeen Business School there as well as the School of Creative and Cultural Business where you can learn more about courses like Journalism and Fashion Management just to name a few. Finally, you will able to find information about The Law School as well with a Q&A and interactive sessions in RGU’s Moot Court Room.

At the Gray’s School of Art you will be able to attend Q&As for each specific course such as Contemporary Art Practice, Communication Design or Photography, among others.
Campus Tours
The campus tours will be carried out by our very own students, and will give you the opportunity to see our stunning riverside campus in all its glory, that’s if the weather is on our side! The students will be able to provide the perfect insight into how to get around campus and where you can find everything you will need during your time as a student. These tours are running throughout the day and depart at the amphitheatre in the Sir Ian Wood Building. They will take around 45 minutes to complete, so be sure to plan your day accordingly. If you’re not keen on a walking tour however we will have another form of transport available…
Rickshaw Rides
Enjoy a leisurely rickshaw ride across our campus and see all the best spots from the comfort of your seat. The Rickshaw rides are always a highlight of our Open Days so you really don’t want to miss out. Our Rickshaw Stop is located just outside of the Sir Ian Wood Building.
