Old Aberdeen Photo Blog

There is plenty to see and do around the city of Aberdeen, and as pretty as Garthdee is, there are lots of other areas of the city to explore. Old Aberdeen, for example, is situated in the north side of Aberdeen’s city centre and features buildings dated back as far as the 13th century.

You can walk along cobbled streets to admire historical buildings such as St Marchars Cathedral and Aberdeen University’s King’s College.

Then venture through Seaton park, one of the largest in Aberdeen, with beautiful walled gardens and flower arrangements.

From there, continue on a scenic riverside walk along the banks of the Don, with impressive views of the Brig O’ Balgownie, and continue on towards Donmouth Local Nature Reserve and the North Sea.

I always enjoy exploring Old Aberdeen and it is definitely one of my favourite places to take photos while in the city. Check out a selection of my recent pics below.
