1. Arrive early
Making sure you get there early is a good way of making the most of the day by checking in and getting straight to it! Throughout the day there will be talks and presentations that you can attend that will give you a deeper understanding of the courses you have applied to. They also give you a chance to have a look at some of our exhibitions we have within the university. There’s loads for you to do and the day will be over before you know it.

2. Go on campus tours
Campus tours are a great way of seeing our beautiful campus and seeing all that it has to offer! Keep a look out for our tour guides on the day, who will be located around the main entrance plaza with paddles to indicate when they are about to start a tour. In groups you can wander the campus which won’t take more than an hour, and if you see something interesting on the way stay and look around, you can easily re-join the group at your own leisure. Your tour guides will tell you all there is to know about our amazing campus along with all of its facilities! Ask us anything you want to know about RGU and we’ll tell you.

3.  Look around our student accommodation
Why not check out our accommodation if you’re thinking of staying in student halls while you study with us? There will be regular buses travelling to and from Woolmanhill flats where you can get a tour of the building.

4.  Chat to everyone
Everyone at Applicants’ Day is there for you! Get to know your potential tutors and lecturers, as this is your chance to ask all the questions you want to know before you start with us. Student Ambassadors are happy to chat with you and will fill you in on what’s it’s like to study here. Don’t be shy! Visit the stalls and make sure you pick up all the literature you can, this is also a chance to get your freebies like pens and other knickknacks!

5. Eat and drink!
Don’t forget to pick up your food and drink discount vouchers when you check in. The vouchers will get you discounted drinks at Costa in the Sir Ian Wood building and Starbucks in the RGU Sports building. If you’re peckish, your vouchers can also save you some pennies at Subway in the Aberdeen Business School and at Papa John’s in the Sir Ian Wood building.

You can find out more about Applicants’ Day on the RGU website!

I look forward to seeing you all this Applicants’ Day 🙂
