Aberdeen is taking Christmas seriously this year! So if you haven’t already explored the various festive attractions around the city, here is an overview to let you know what is going on.
The Aberdeen Christmas Village is the main event in Aberdeen’s run up to Christmas 2016. Located along Union Terrace throughout December, there is a wide selection of attractions available. These include various market stalls with gifts and a range of different kinds of food, as well as Christmas bars which will also host live entertainment. In addition to this there are several festive fairground rides and an outdoor ice rink to make sure you have a fun start to the Christmas period.
Sitting just below the Christmas Village in Union Terrace gardens is Aberdeen’s Christmas tree maze. With puzzles and challenges, you work your way through the maze for the chance to win prizes at the other side. Also as you walk around the city you may have noticed Wooden Carvings which are shaped to make up the Twelve Days of Christmas Trail.
So with more attractions than ever before, Aberdeen is definitely in the Christmas spirit and there is no shortage of things to see and do in the run up to the end of the semester!
