Throughout the academic year, students create various projects as part of their coursework. Being a student, I always see work displayed around the university. RGU holds regular events to showcase the emerging talent to the general public giving students the opportunity to proudly display their best work. With the highly awaited Gray’s School of Art Degree Show coming up in June, let’s reflect on some previous events.
Digital Fashion Film
Third year Fashion Management students worked with North East Fashion Designers to coordinate and produce ‘Choose your energy’ the university’s first ever Digital Fashion Show. Fashion students held an exhibition displaying their garments and screened the film to friends and family.
Gray’s School of Art’s Graduate Fashion Show
The Gray’s School of Art’s Graduate Fashion Show was a chance to see the collections of final year Fashion and Textile students before the Degree Show in June. Check out this video shot by Angus Grieve:
‘Future Developed’ was held last May and was an opportunity for students from all disciplines within the School to highlight the range of innovative projects they have worked on over the year.
Gray’s School of Art Degree Show
The next highlight in the arts calendar is The Gray’s School of Art Degree Show! The Degree Show showcases the work of final year students. The show will take place from the 18th-25th June. Audiences will have the chance to view and purchase final year project work from graduating students across all schools.
Make sure you bring your camera along as there will be various pieces to capture. One thing you’ll get to see is a bee-friendly garden which was created by Final Year Communication Design student Xanthe Bodington.
